The People's Education Press promoted Chinese 2008 series ceremoniously at the 14th BIBF.
In the morning of August 31, the people's education press has held news release for "Chinese 2008" series at its stand. The book series are a set of short-term practical Chinese communication handbooks for adults which is divided into five volumes, namely: "Basis ", "Living", " Tour", "Sports" and "Traffic". There are eight bi-lingual editions, namely: Chinese-English, Chinese-Russian, Chinese-French, Chinese-German, Chinese-Japanese, Chinese-Korean, Chinese-Spanish and Chinese-Arabic which totals 40 volumes. The eight languages cover the used ones in most countries and regions. In order to make readers easy to read, every volume is accompanied by MP3 CD. The series have been included in "Beijing Publication. Projects" by Beijing Bureau of Press and Publication Administration.
Chinese 2008 series include 600 Chinese sentences for daily social intercourse, about 300 paragraphs of pragmatic scene conversation and 100 short essays introducing Chinese culture convention. The 5 volumes keep to the mainline tightly connected with "Introducing Olympic Games" and "Knowing China" from view points of sports, life, traffic, tour etc., and complement each other on content, covering every aspect with vivid expression, new and original content, and rich information. Its format is 48 mo, which is convenient to read and carry. It is a necessary books for the foreign friends who live and travel in China.
