Contents Briefing
This book is the second volume of Series of "Beijing Olympic Architecture, 2008".It is divided into two parts. Part 1 is the overview written by Ma Guoxin, one of the architectural masters and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. And Part 2 gives descriptions to the Olympic venues one by one, including 15 newly-built ones, 14 reconstructed ones and 6 temporary ones. In addition, Part 2 presents with the introductions to the relative facilities in the Olympic Village, National Conference Center, Digital Beijing Building and Olympic Park.
In this book, overviews have been made to 40 venues along with about 300 fine pictures and more than 100 drawings. More attention has been paid to the principle ones, e.g. the National Stadium, the National Aquatics Center and National Indoor Stadium, etc., but the other projects also has been introduced comprehensively.
