The Inheritance of Chinese Culture is financed by Quality Education Fund of Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau. It is a research result of Chinese Culture Research Program (for junior middle school). The book takes reference on the syllabus of Chinese teaching and other relevant literature, and are classified into 24 categories in 3 volumes. The first volume includes fairy tales, legendaries, social customs, traditional festivals, sceneries, historic relics, etiquettes, and entertainments, the second volume cuisine, costumes, language, rhetoric, moral ethics, economy, transportation & communication, and science & technology, and the third volume literary figures, literary works, arts appreciation, human cultivation, governance, historic figures, academic ideas, and religions.
The depth of the book fits the intelligent level of middle school students. The combination between the spreading of knowledge and the cultivation of ethics makes the book not only full of amusement, knowledge, and literariness, but also thoughts and realism.
