The series of dictionaries of Chinese verses is one of the 9th five-year plan of national key publishing projects and the 9th five-year plan of Chinese ancient books publishing projects. The series is the manifestation of the latest research achievements in Chinese Ci Poetry studies, Chinese Shi poetry studies and Qu poetry studies. It is a comprehensive dictionary, attaching equal importance to academic research, information and education.
Dictionary of Chinese Ci Poetry Studies is one of the series of dictionaries on Chinese verses. It includes more than 7,200 entries from the Tang Dynasty through to the Five Dynasties period, and up to modern times. It covers fundamental concepts, technical terms, writers, collected works, and schools, set rules for tonal patterns and rhyme schemes, and research findings from home and abroad. It is very informative, containing a number of documents that are rigorously classified to form the theoretical structure of the development of Ci poetry from its origins to its transition. It presents the research findings on Ci poetry studies, and is the first detailed reference book on Ci poetry studies.
