Contents Briefing

In this exhibition various materials related to ancient Chinese music history up to the end of the Qing Dynasty are presented. Included are the social backgrounds of each era and their relationship to music development, the development and history of each music form, the themes and styles of Chinese music, an introduction to and analysis of instruments and instrumental music, and a research study of the aesthetics of music.
