Nie Zhenning

Nie Zhenning, born in Jiangsu Province of China in 1951, is the Senior Editor and now the President of China Publishing Group Corporation.

He graduated from the Chinese Department of Peking University in 1988. His previous posts include: Editor-in-Chief and President of Li Jiang Publishing House; Editor-in-Chief of "Li Jiang" magazine; Deputy Director of Guangxi Press and Publication Bureau (Copyright Bureau). From March 1999, he had been assumed the post of President and Party Secretary of the People's Literature Publishing House. Afterwards, from January 2005, he began to work as the Deputy President of China Publishing Group Corporation. Then, the President from April 2007.

He is well-known for his publication philosophy and practice. Various publishing projects under his charge have created social and cultural impacts in China. He was honored the first "100 best publishers of China" and has won many other prizes.

He is Member of the National Committee of CPPCC. Simultaneously, he is Member of the National Committee of Chinese Writers Association, Vice Chairman of the Publishers Association of China, Vice Chairman of China Periodicals Association, Vice Chairman of Copyright Society of China.
