Author Profile

Li Zhun (1928-2000), Mongolian. As a native of Luoyang (Henan), he successively served as writer of Henan Provincial Literary Federation, Vice Chairman of Henan Branch of China Writers Association, Director of National Museum of Modern Chinese, Vice Chairman and a professional writer of China Writers Association. He was also member of Presidium and Executive Director of China Film Association, Vice President of China Film Literature Association, Deputy to National People's Congress and Member of CPPCC National Committee. He began to publish works since 1946. His works includes saga novel (Yellow River Flows to the East); collection of short stories (Biography of Li Shuangshuang, Wheelmarks, Camel Ridge on Night Walk, Farming Harvest in Mayday), literary film scripts (River Runs, Wrangler, Wreaths At The Foot Of The Mountain, Spirit Of A Dragon Horse, Stone Dream, MEETING OF THE TWO HEROES, The Bell Of Purity Temple, Ji Hongchang) and so on. Biography of Li Shuangshuang (as playwright) won Hundred Flowers Film Award and Best Screenplay Award. New Story Of An Old Soldier (as playwright) won Moscow Film Festival Award in 1952.
