Author Profile

Zhang Wei (1956-) was born in Longkou (Shandong), and his original domicile is in Qixia, Shandong. He has started to publish poetry since 1975 and has published the novels, essays, literary theory and so on since 1980. He joined in Chinese Writers Association in 1983. As a professional writer, he acts as President of Shandong Province Writers Association. Representative works include saga novels (Ancient Boat, Fables in September, Family, Bai Hui, Book from Other Provinces, Miss Manihot, Scandalous Behavior or Romantic, Hedgehog Song); novellas (Record of Yingzhou Thoughts, Anger of Autumn, Seven Kinds of Mushroom); short stories (Winter Scene, Voice, A Lake Of Water, Seaside Snow); proses (Integrate into the Wild, Thoughts at Night, Shynes and Gentleness); long poems (The Road to Convert, Pine Forest) and so on. He has published Zhang Wei's Anthology (volumes 1-10).
