Author Profile

Zhao Fang is the Dean of Music Department, School of Art, Renmin University of China, national senior composer, council member of Beijing Musicians Association, member of Chinese Musicians Association, member of Beijing Professional and Technical Title Evaluating Committee. Professor Zhao graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 1982 and has been working in the field of music making and theoretical study for many years. So far he has created 4 dance drama musical works, more than 100 songs, 60-odd dance musical works, 19 TV musical works, 2 movie musical works, and several instrumental musical works, many of which have won national and provincial awards. His masterpiece, the dance drama The Rustic Ba People has won Wenhua Award and Individual Award of Ministry of Culture, and "Five-One Project" Award of Publicity Department.
