This book gives a systematical picture of the wild lives in Xinjiang Municipality that are under particular protection of China. It involves the wild animals of 122 species in 31 families of 18 orders and 5 classes. Each species is given a detailed description with illustrations, including the characteristics and the distribution of each species, the ecology of the places where each species lives, and the present situation of the protection against pothunter.
