Jiangxi Science and Technology Publishing House was established in February 15, 1985 and then, in November, 2009 reformed as one person limited liability company fully named Jiangxi Science and Technology Publishing Co., Ltd. It consists of Chief Editor's Office, Administrative Office, Finance Department, Printing Department, Digital Publishing Department, Marketing Books Editorial Department, The Editorial Department of Foreign Publishing Cooperation, Primary School and Middle School Textbooks Center, Junior College and Technical Secondary School Textbooks Center, Specialized Books Editorial Department, Comprehensive Countryside Magazine Department, Comprehensive Family Magazine Department, Knowledge Window Magazine Department, Comprehensive Business Editorial Department, Marketing Department, Publications Storage and Transportation Department and so on.

 

With the unremitting efforts of several generations, Jiangxi Science and Technology Publishing House has formed the strategy of developing both books and serials, diversified management and giving prominence to the key points, creating unique feature with efficiency.

 

Over the past 20 years, the published books concentrating on agricultural, medical and health care, architecture enjoy good reputation in the whole country. The competitiveness of the press ranks the top among the same kind press in China. It publishes more than 300 kinds every year, and has won the honor more than 300 times beyond the provincial or ministerial levels. Collected Works of Wu Youxun has gained the first Chinese Government Nomination Award of publishing. Blocking Death --Documentary of Attacking  "SARS" of Jiangxi Province has gained the sixth National Book Special Award. Album of Chinese Agricultural Archeology has obtained the ninth Chinese Book Award. Cage Birds of China has gained the eleventh Chinese Book Award. Chinese Civilization of Ancient Agricultural has been put on the first original books list of science and technology. Since 2004, copyright output of the press has amounted above 100 kinds, and the press was awarded as "advanced publishing unit of copyright output in China' by the State Copyright Administration in 2006.

 

Magazine Countryside Know-it-all has got three National Journal Prize, been awarded the national publishing advanced group of serving a new socialist countryside by General Administration of Press and Publication in 2006,been listed in farm book house journals which was honored as a flag of agricultural books.Besides, Knowledge Window and Home Journal of Knowledge all have gained Journal Prize.

 

The Press has been judged as advanced group of going to the countryside in 2003, advanced publishing units of serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers in 2004, civilization unit of Jiangxi provincial authorities in 2006 and 2008. Wen Qing, president of the press, has been awarded advanced worker of press and publication system in 2006.
