Anhui Educational Publishing House, formed in 1982, is one of the companies of Anhui Publishing Group. It consists of 10 editorial departments as below: first textbook department (for basic education), second textbook department (for basic education), elementary education department, higher education department, professional education department，social science department etc., besides, there are two journals like red dragonfly (for children age 5-9) and green apple( for high school students) as well. It is also in charge of Anhui Educational Electronic Publishing House, Anhui Educational Network Publishing Corp. etc.

Basic education publications act as the mainstream of Anhui Education Press, at the same time, publishers put emphasis on a number of fields such as infant education, professional education, higher education,academic culture, Chinese education, regional culture, network publication and so on. One thousand and five hundred books are published per year.

Since the foundation of the Press, the publishers put the social benefit in the first place all the time and do their best to accomplish success both in social and in economic aspects. Many valuable academic and popular titles have been put out. Among them the following are remarkable: A Complete Collection of Chinese Reference Books, Complete Works of Song Dynasty, Complete Works by Zhu Xi, Complete Works by Zhu Guangqian, Complete Works by Hu Shi和，Complete Works by Zong Baihua, Selected Works by Zhong Jingwen , Selected Translationss by Bian Zhilin, Selected Works by Deng Jiaxian , Song of Three Chinese Virtues, Song of Morality of Chinese Citizens, Series of the Essence of Chinese Culture, Selections of Huang Shang, A Series Concerning Study on Juvenile Mentality and Act etc. More than 600 titles have been rewarded by the Propaganda Department of CPC, the Publishing & Press Administration Ministry of China and other national authorities.

Since 1990’s the publishers have been keeping contact and co-operation with publishing agencies abroad, have taken part in the famous international book fairs and have been carrying on copyright business with dozens of publishing organizations abroad. On one hand, we promote to import the books, on the other hand, we are recommending the bestsellers of our Press to distinguished publishers in the world. So far a number of books have been successfully exported to the world, such as Series of Essences of Chinese Culture(9 volumes), History of Chinese Philology, Biography of Luxun, Notes of Ancient Italian Architecture, A New Multi-Function Word Dictionary for Pupils and so on.
