Founded in 1953, Jiangsu People’s Publishing House (JSPPH) is a comprehensive local press. The book it publishes focus on the following 3 groups: economic theory and practical economic books; the ideological and cultural readings which lay emphasis on philosophy and social science academic books, psychological readings, history and figure readings; practical culture books and magazines, such as photograph, tourism, physical education, music, family encyclopedia and cartoon, etc.
JSPPH has published nearly 20000 titles of books in the past 50 years and the total print is over 1.6 billion. Since 1990, more than 300 titles of books won various prizes at provincial, ministerial and national levels. Digest of Bestsellers and Directorate & Board, two monthly magazines of JSPPH, are characterized by a distinctive style.
JSPPH has established good relationship with many famous publishers in USA, Britain, France, Germany, etc. And great deals of academic works we introduce are extensively well received. Now, JSPPH pays full attention to the cooperation with other countries and regions, and would like to cooperate with more presses and develop copyright trade.
