Born in September 1948 in Shanxi province, Mr. Liu Binjie obtained his Master's degree in Philosophy from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and later became a professor and senior economist.

 

1978-1981: Educated in Beijing Normal University and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

 

1981-1994: Standing Commissioner and Director of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Deputy Secretary Gen- eral of Ali-China Federation of Youth, General Manager of SJYEC, President of the 21 Century Group, President and Chief Editor of the 21Century Magazine.

 

1994-1995: Vice Secretary General of All-China Federation Of Industry & Commerce.

 

1995-2002: Assistant Governor, Sichuan Secretary General of the Sichuan Provincial Government, Standing Commissioner of the Sichuan Pro- vincial Committee.

 

2004 - 2007, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Press and Publication,PRC.

 

From April 2007 on, he has been appointed as the Party Secretary and Director of General Administration of Press and Publication, PRC. Simultaneously, he works as the Director of National Copyright Administration, PRC.
