Since 1997, Ms. Marjorie Scardino has held the position of CEO at the Pearson PLC.

 

Under her leadership, the Pearson Group has diversified its holdings, entering multiple business sectors while maintaining a unified management structure, thus becoming the foremost player in the international, educational, multimedia, publishing industry.

 

Through her outstanding management of the Pearson's business strategy, Ms. Scardino has gained a reputation as a preeminent female executive and one of most influential publishing chiefs in Europe and North America.

 

Currently, she also holds the position of non-executive trustee with the Nokia Corporation. In addition, she serves on the advisory and oversight boards of a number of charitable organizations including the Carter Center and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
