Mar. 25, the 6th Working Conference of the Working Party of Project "China Book International" was held in Hefei, Anhui province.
The conference was jointly sponsored by Information Office of the State Council and GAPP, organized by Times Publishing & Media Co., Ltd. Nearly 100 publishing professionals across the country gathered together on the occasion, discussing about the promotion of China's press and publication industry to the rest of the world.
At the conference, the Working Party of Project "China Book International" summed up the work in 2009 and deployed work in 2010, conferring awards to member entities which made outstanding achievements in the work with regard to "going abroad" in 2009.
The Project "China Book International" has become a brand project for the opening-up of China's press and publication industry. So far, the Working Party of Project "China Book International" has signed 1,350 items of publishing subsidization agreements with 246 publishing companies from 46 countries including the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and Brazil, granting subsidies for the publication of 1,910 titles of books in 26 languages. The Working Party of Project CBI has 33 member entities now.
