Bronze Civilization is the best to demonstrate the essence of Chinese civilization, which has a long and splendid history; in Bronze Civilization, Sanxingdui Culture, relics of an ancient city, is the best to show the charm of Chinese civilization.

The Sanxingdui Site (including sacrifice pits) is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in China in the 20th century. This discovery proves that Sanxingdui of Guanghan, Sichuan is one of the centers of Yangtze River Civilization and Sichuan region (including the Jinsha Site of Chengdu) is one of the origins of Chinese Southern Civilization, and that Chinese civilization has multiple origins and is integrated.

Sanxingdui Culture is a typical one in the southern area of Bronze Age. In addition to its association with the bronze wares of Shang and Zhou Dynasties in Central China, Sanxingdui Culture has unique cultural value. The bronze wares unearthed in the Sanxingdui Site have distinct shapes and peculiar design, are primitively exquisite, and show a combination of Chinese civilization and foreign civilization. Thus, scholars both at home and abroad have been paying much attention to the archaeological discoveries of Sanxingdui Site ever since they were made, and visitors from around the world appreciate the Sanxingdui Site very much.

It has over 800 color pictures and more than 100 line drawings, and two thirds of the color pictures are published for the first time.

This book series includes relic pictures, sites where relics were unearthed, ware description, brief introduction to each excavation process, historical events of Sanxingdui archaeology, and ware index, and its preface and catalog are written in both Chinese and English. It can be used as a reference book in the museum and library or for the researchers on museology, archaeology, history, fine arts, tourism, metallurgy, popular science, local culture, etc. It is also a collection of fine pictures, which can be appreciated and collected by the artwork collector or presented to the art enthusiast as a gift.
