Geng Shen, who was born in Hebei province in 1944, graduated from Beijing Foreign Languages University in 1968. And in 1980, he engage in research of the translation about the history of China-USA Relations and Sinology in France at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of History. He is a researcher of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of History. In social work, he is the president of CSHCFR (Chinese Society for Historians of China's foreign Relations), the part-time researcher or professor of Dunhuang Academy, Beijing Foreign Languages University, etc.
