Wu Jianping worked as an editor at Shanghai Translation Publishing House after graduating from Shanghai Foreign Languages Institute. She was responsible for the editing of Russia and Eastern Europe literature works. At present, she is the vice editor, director of Shanghai Writers Association, Shanghai Translators Association member.
She edited many works, such as "Russia Literary Critical History" (awarded the Fifth National Foreign Literature Book Prize in 2001), "Pushkin Papers" (awarded by Shanghai municipal bureau of press and publication), "Quo Vadis", "Education of Love", etc.
She translated the works include "Cinderella Mara", "A Woman's Fate", "Greek fables", "The story of Vera and Anfisa", etc.
