Yuan Kejia, who was born in Zhejiang province, is the Chinese new poet and translator. He obtained a Bachelor of Literature of the Southwest Associated University in 1946. Since then, he was working as a teacher at Peking University (1946~1950), as a translator at the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee (1951~1953), as an English editor at Foreign Languages Press (1954~1956) and as a assistant researcher at foreign literature Institute of Academia Sinica (1957~1978).In 1991, he retired.
He published many literary papers, such as "Introduction to Modernist Literature in European & American". Moreover, the representative translated work is "Burns Poems".
