The Bureau of Press and Publication Administration of Shaanxi Province will continue vigorously promoting the construction of Farmers' Reading Rooms. 4,000 Farmers' Reading Rooms will be newly established across the province in this year. In the light of its plan, farmers' reading rooms will cover more than 27,300 administrative villages across the province by the end of the 12th Five-year Plan period. Meanwhile, the bureau will explore the way to construct and efficiently use reading rooms in the communities, government institutions and enterprises as well as reading rooms for rural workers, to enable the mass people better enjoy the achievements in the field of press and publication reform.
The Bureau of Press and Publication Administration of Shaanxi Province supports the development of key enterprises, focuses on the construction of key projects, and drives the development of the entire industry. The bureau will vigorously conduct investigation and research, to work out a general report of research on the development of the province's press and publishing industry, based on sub-reports of research on the development of four sectors of publishing, newspaper & periodicals, distribution and printing. The bureau will give play to the its role of planning, guiding, regulating and controlling the industry, scientifically work out the plan of the province's press and publishing industry during the 12th Five-year Plan period, and optimize the development modes of the press and publishing industry, aiming to foster 6-8 press and publishing industrial groups each with an output value of more than RMB1 billion and 3-5 industrial clusters each with output value of more than RMB 3 billion within 3-5 years.
Besides, the Bureau of Press and Publication Administration of Shaanxi Province also listed it as one of the priority work to support the development of non-public ownership cultural enterprises.
