CWA Named as a New Sponsor for BIBF

Writers are an indispensable part of the publishing industry. Many famous international book fairs offer the stage for writers from their home countries to display, promote and introduce about themselves, and also provide the best platform to promote and introduce about writers' works. As the international influence of Chinese publications has increased, we need to build a platform to promote Chinese writers, propel the writers going global through their works, thus realize more works to go abroad.

The Beijing International Book Fair 2010 (BIBF 2010) has named the Chinese Writers' Association as new-added sponsor, which will promote the influence of Chinese contemporary writers and Chinese contemporary literature by writers' participation and the promotion of their works. CWA has set up a special pavilion at this year's fair, exhibiting and displaying contemporary literary works and works to be translated and published in the light of the project of  "100 Titles of Translated Books on Contemporary Literature." By holding various writers' activities including recitals and lectures, CWA promotes contemporary Chinese literature among overseas publishers, promotes China's contemporary literature going abroad, and at the same time drives the nationwide reading campaigns to a great extent.
