Hachette-Phoenix Culture Development (Beijing) Company Limited, a joint venture between China's Phoenix Publishing and Media Group and French Hachette Book Group unveiled on Aug. 31 at the 17th Beijing international Book Fair.
At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2009 where China was a country of honor, China's Phoenix Publishing and Media Group and French Hachette Book Group announced that they will jointly establish a joint venture in Beijing. After preparation that lasted 10 months, Hachette-Phoenix Culture Development (Beijing) Company Limited unveiled in Beijing. Both parties have agreed: Hachette-Phoenix Culture Development (Beijing) Company Limited will be committed to be a provider of high-quality books on China's mass book market, while serving as two-way development platform linking up the publishing industries domestically and internationally, that is, to introduce excellent international publishing resources into China, and at the same time promote excellent Chinese books to the international market by virtue of Hachette international publishing & cultural resources as well as the book sales network worldwide.
